Attorneys
Steven Best has extensive litigation experience in the areas of admiralty and
maritime, wrongful death and personal injury, vessel collision/allisions,
insurance defense, sexual discrimination/harassment, and federal and state
workers compensation. He earned his Juris Doctor degree cum laude at Tulane
University School of Law in New Orleans and his undergraduate degree at the
University of New Orleans. He has practiced law since 1982. Prior to
co-founding Baynham Best, L.L.C., he was an attorney with, and managed the
Houston, Texas branch office of, Best, Koeppel. Mr. Best is admitted to
practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, U.S. District
Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana, and all
state courts of Louisiana and Texas. He is a member of the American, Louisiana
and Texas Bar Associations, as well as the Louisiana Association of Defense
Counsel.
